Hi All,

We’re back at it and we need your help.

We’ve once again teamed up with The Grand Appeal to raise money for their Play 4 all program. It’s a wonderful program helping young children in need and their families.

Last year we managed to raise a whopping £1,765 towards the cause but this year we’d like to help even more.

As well as donating a portion of everything we make as a company throughout the year, we are challenging ourselves to complete a number of events to help raise awareness and sponsorship.

What do we have planned?

As a team we’ve already started preparing for our personal challenges. Claire has been in the pool, Pete has been out on his bike and Adam has been hitting the road for some runs.

Challenge 1: The Gang takes on The Grand Series.

In May, we’ve all committed to completing one leg of a triathlon taking part in The Grand Series.

Claire is aiming to swim 2km, Pete a 40km bike ride and Adam a 10km run.

We’ll keep you posted with how we get on.

Challenge 2: Pete takes on The Brecon TITAN.

This is a big one. Should this event take place, Pete plans to complete a mega triathlon in the Brecon Beacons in June.

He’ll jump in a lake to complete a 2km swim, straight on his bike to complete a hilly 100km bike ride and, as if that wasn’t enough, to finish off he’ll complete a half marathon.

Should the event be postponed for Covid reasons, Pete has still committed to completing these distances back to back on his own.

Challenge 3: Pete takes on The Tour De Bristol.

Due to Covid, the original dates of these events has been moved which now means 6 days after completing the TITAN, Pete will be back on his bike taking part in the Tour De Bristol! This is a 100km ride taking him all the way out to the Wye Valley and back again. Those are going to be some sore legs.

Challenge 4: Claire takes on a 10km walk.

Now we know what you are thinking, a 10km walk sounds like a fairly long distance but isn’t that hard right? Wrong. Claire has committed to walking 10, fairly hilly, kilometers even though she will be nearly 6 months pregnant at the time. Fair play Claire! Rather you than us.

Challenge 5: Adam takes on The Cheltenham Half Marathon

Running 5km for a bit of fitness or taking the dog for a long walk is one thing. Running a half marathon is something completely different and takes a lot of training. Adam is putting in the miles now and hopes to complete the Cheltenham half in under 2hrs in September.

Challenge 6: Pete and Adam take on the Bristol Half Marathon

For our final challenge of the year, Adam and Pete will run the Bristol Half Marathon together in September. That’s 2 half marathons in a couple of weeks for Adam! He must be mad.
