We set out early in the year to raise as much money for The Grand Appeal through our own donations and through sponsorship for the many events we’ve taken on. Then COVID-19 reared its ugly head.

“We won’t let this pandemic get in the way of raising as much as possible for such an amazing charity. “

Due to this horrible pandemic, all but one of the 5 events we had planned have either been cancelled or rearranged but that doesn’t mean we’ll be using it as an excuse to put our feet up. We still plan to complete all the challenges, even if it’s not an official event. Both of us have been continuing to train within the rules of lockdown.

Adam completed the Bath Half Marathon just before lockdown and has continued to run. On May 2nd when the Bristol 10k was due to take place, Adam went out and completed a 10km run.

Pete has continued to cycle and run in preparation for his Half Ironman, although he has mostly been on a static trainer in his garage instead of out riding all over town.

We won’t let this pandemic get in the way of raising as much as possible for such an amazing charity. Now more than ever charities like this really need our support to help those that need it most.

2 events down, 3 to go.
